Rally and Tour Schedule for 2011

2011 is an exciting year for the Ohio Valley Region with the 50th Anniversary of the club as a highlight. The Rally and Tour team is also excited to plan several events that sustain the heritage of our club's history, creating several opportunities for our members to get together to share the Porsche driving experience, perhaps “show” off our passion for cars but definitely have fun and socialize.
The Spring Tour Event is scheduled for Saturday, May 7th. We will meet at Devou Park high above Covington, KY with a beautiful overlook of the Ohio River and downtown Cincinnati. A drive through Northern Kentucky hill and hollow is planned to the Elk Creek Vineyards, the largest winery in the state of Kentucky as the destination. Although pre-registration for the tour will not be required, those interested in participating are encouraged to email ovrrallyandtour2011@cinci.rr.com with contact information (name, phone, email) so that we can plan for parking accommodation and advise the Vineyard of the expected crowd. The OVR website will also contain updates regarding the event details, so check in to www.ovrpca.org over the upcoming weeks.
The second event for the year:
will be coordinated with the Porsches2Oxford organizing committee and will be held on Sunday, July 31st in conjunction with the P2O weekend festivities. Details for that tour are evolving, but it will surely be in context with the theme of “A Casual Porsche Party”. We look forward to supporting our friends at MORPCA.
The final Rally:
for the year will be held as part of the weekend extravaganza of our 50th Anniversary Gala on Sunday, October 31st. Not all of the final details are complete, but this will be a themed rally guaranteed to be fun and challenging for participants.
